GarageBand turns your iPad, and iPhone into a collection of Touch Instruments and a full-featured recording studio — so you can make music anywhere you go. And with Live Loops, it makes it easy for anyone to have fun creating music like a DJ. Use Multi-Touch gestures to play keyboards, guitars, and create beats that make you sound like a pro — even if you've never played a note before. Plug in a guitar or bass and play through classic amps and stompbox effects. Use a Touch Instrument, microphone, or a guitar and instantly record a performance with support for up of 32 tracks. Use the Sound Library to download additional free instruments, loops and sound packs. Audio Unit Extensions in iOS 14 allow you to play, record and mix third-party instruments or effects right into GarageBand. And then share your song with friends and family.

Question: Q: Convert Garageband File to Mono 8 Bit WAV with 8 or 11.025 Sample Rate I created a bunch of voice messages for our Automated Attendant in our voice mail system and in order to inport them into our voice mail system I need to get them into a mono WAV file that is 8 bit with an 8 or 11.025 sample rate. When you import an audio file, it's converted to a 44.1 kHz sample rate, 16-bit depth format if the original format is different. Imported audio files don't follow tempo changes you make in GarageBand. When you import a multitrack MIDI file, GarageBand creates a new Keyboard track for each track in the MIDI file. Which audio formats can I import and export? And how about MP3s? You can import AIFF and WAV files (from a CD, iTunes, the Internet, etc.) as long as they are 16 bit. If you import an MP3 file, it will be converted and stored in your project as an AIFF file. Just drag and drop. You can export as an AIFF file to iTunes, where you freely convert between four formats: AAC and MP3 (compressed.
